About

I consider myself a life-long learner and student of life. I have been an educator for more than 30 years, and have recently started a new book on the History of Dressage. I have a background in several specialized areas of history: Medieval History, Renaissance History, History of Science, History of Witchcraft, Women's History, U.S. Colonial History and Environmental History. I also minored in Philosophy, Ancient and Medieval. Teaching is my life's work and I consider it a privilege to share with others the ideas, facts and realities of the human condition. I always learn a great deal from my students, and consider them part of my intellectual journey. My classes have the feel of an elevated conversation, and any and all questions are encouraged. It is a privilege to share information, and to encourage critical thinking (question everything!) on our subjects.
