Hello! My name is Dr. Toyosi Falegan, and I am a recent medical school graduate currently pursuing a Master of Public Health degree before beginning residency. I have been passionate about teaching and mentoring students for many years, and helping students achieve their academic goals is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

My teaching experience began during my undergraduate years at Howard University, where I served as a tutor for pre-medical students, particularly in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. Since then, I have continued to mentor and teach students at various levels, including medical students preparing for coursework and board examinations. Having successfully navigated the rigorous journey from pre-medical studies through medical school, I understand both the academic challenges students face and the strategies needed to overcome them.

My teaching philosophy centers on dedication, patience, and individualized learning. I believe that every student is capable of success when provided with the right guidance, encouragement, and study approach. Rather than simply helping students memorize information, I focus on ensuring they truly understand concepts and can confidently apply them to solve problems independently. I tailor my teaching style to each student’s learning needs, whether that involves visual aids, practice questions, active recall techniques, concept mapping, or breaking down complex topics into manageable steps.

As a teacher, I am highly invested in my students’ success. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing academically. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades and test performance, but also to build their confidence and foster a lifelong love of learning.
