About
I am an experienced educator and instructor with more than 30 years of experience teaching yoga, fitness, movement, and creative learning. I also have decades of personal experience with vegan cooking and have been vegan for 40 years. My professional background includes Montessori education, adult and children's yoga, fitness instruction, prenatal yoga, and hands-on, creative education. I hold an AMI Primary credential, Oregon and Washington teaching credentials, TEFL/TESL training, Oregon Registry Master Trainer status, and an ERYT-200 yoga credential.
I enjoy teaching adults practical skills that they can use and continue exploring on their own. My teaching style is warm, encouraging, hands-on, and adaptable. I don't believe there is one “right” way to learn a skill, and I enjoy helping students build confidence through experimentation and practice.
My ideal students are adults who are curious beginners, returning to something after a long break, or simply looking for a different and more approachable way to learn. In yoga and fitness, I especially enjoy working with people who want supportive instruction rather than a competitive environment. In culinary arts, I would love to teach practical vegan cooking for people who want to become more comfortable preparing satisfying, flavorful plant-based meals.
I can offer students not only instruction but the perspective of a lifelong learner and teacher. Whether we are moving, creating, or cooking, my goal is to make the experience accessible, enjoyable, and useful while giving students the confidence to keep exploring independently.
