About

I have worked in nearly every aspect of filmmaking for over 25 years - writing, editing, producing and shooting film and video - in both Hollywood and independently. My work has screened in festivals all over the world (Sundance, SXSW, Edinburgh, Clermont-Ferrand) and released in theaters and streaming platforms (Amazon Prime, Kanopy.) My goal as a teacher is to guide students through the filmmaking process, from inception of their idea, through development, production and post-production, as well as teach the language of cinema to give student the tools to tell their stories. I don't believe in formulas or a dogmatic approach. My teaching process is designed to help students articulate their personal visions in the most cinematic way possible.
