About

My name is Kelly Walker, and I am a passionate and experienced mental health coach, registered therapist, and professional speaker. I have dedicated over 20 years to the mental health field, working with individuals across a broad spectrum of emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and am mental health professional with a strong foundation in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care.

Throughout my career, I have supported clients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use recovery, grief, relationship issues, and self-worth challenges. In addition to my one-on-one and group therapy work, I’ve served in roles that include clinical supervision, coaching, and leading educational workshops and community trainings on emotional well-being, resilience, and self-care. I am also the founder of KW Coaching and Consulting LLC, where I offer mental health coaching, mental health presentations, and empowerment speaking engagements.

My experience isn’t just academic or clinical—it's also deeply personal. I know what it feels like to navigate life’s complexities and overcome emotional hardships. This lived experience informs my approach and allows me to connect with people authentically and compassionately.

Ideal Students and Teaching Approach:

My ideal students are motivated adults who are eager to better understand their mental and emotional health, improve their coping skills, and grow in personal insight. They may be new to mental health education, or they may already be familiar with the basics and are looking to go deeper. I also welcome those in helping professions—like teachers, coaches, or community leaders—who want to expand their understanding of mental wellness to better support others.

Whether students are struggling with stress, low self-worth, relationship dynamics, emotional triggers, or feeling stuck in life, my approach is designed to meet them where they are. I offer a real, relatable, faith-grounded and practical approach—one that breaks down complex psychological concepts into accessible, everyday tools. My sessions often blend educational content, interactive reflection exercises, personal storytelling, and actionable strategies that students can immediately apply.

How My Teaching Benefits Students:

I create a safe, encouraging, non-judgmental environment where students feel seen, heard, and empowered.

I bridge the gap between mental health education and real-life application—helping students build emotional regulation, resilience, and relationship tools.

I draw from both clinical knowledge and lived wisdom, ensuring that what I teach is both research-informed and heart-centered.

I use clear, compassionate communication and always tailor my material to suit the audience’s level of understanding and life experience.

Ultimately, I help students move from surviving to thriving—emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and relationally.
