I have taught Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Earth Science as well as middle school Physical Science for over 20 years in the public school system in Southern California. During this time I had always created my own curriculum and assessments. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in curriculum and instruction from Concordia University, Irvine.

My ideal students would come to class with a desire to learn and a level of personal responsibility that helps them to self regulate the distractions in their own environment. They would do their best to access the curriculum every day and would actively seek help when met with a challenge they could not surmount on their own. It is my goal to increase the level of scientific awareness and scientific literacy to students worldwide in order to prepare the next generation to meet the energy and environmental needs of humanity.
