About

My professional expertise in the history, art, and archaeology of Greco-Roman antiquity equip me with a unique set of skills and knowledge to impart to students interested in a broad variety of topics. I can offer introductory language instruction in Latin or Greek, English language and literature instruction, an introduction to ancient philosophy and history, lessons in Greco-Roman art and archaeology, mythology, and literature, and more!

My ideal student considers themselves a lifelong learner, eager to pursue the interconnections between what we call today STEM topics and humanities, art, and social sciences. I encourage students to critically reflect on the intellectual and institutional developments of these disciplines over time, situating learning processes themselves in ever-evolving socio-historical contexts.

I am also an avid chess player and calligraphy hobbyist (including illumination and rudimentary book-binding), and would love to share these passions for students interested in beginning lessons.
