About
With a PhD in Biochemistry, I bring deep, research-trained insight into the core concepts that drive AP Biology—molecular genetics, cellular energetics, enzyme function, physiology, and evolution—while teaching students to think like scientists. I help students connect big ideas across units, interpret experimental data and graphs with confidence, and explain biological processes clearly using precise vocabulary. My approach emphasizes concept mastery plus exam-ready practice: strong reasoning, accurate interpretation of figures, and disciplined use of evidence in free-response answers. My biochemistry PhD also provides a rigorous foundation for AP Chemistry, especially the “why” behind equilibrium, thermodynamics, kinetics, acids/bases, and molecular structure. I guide students to build intuition, then translate that understanding into reliable problem-solving: dimensional analysis, equilibrium setups, rate reasoning, and energetics. I also emphasize lab-style thinking and data analysis (units, trends, graphs, error patterns), so students can justify their work clearly and perform strongly on both multiple-choice and free-response sections.
